# Setting up your account

# Create account

To begin using Civillo you must create an account. Your account is linked to you and is global. You will use the one account to access all your Civillo resources.

  1. To create an account, proceed to the Registration (opens new window) page.

  2. Once on the registration page, fill out the form with your details.

  3. To complete registration, click the Register button. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

TIP

Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain a mixture of upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers and symbols.

You should register with a persistent valid email address. Your email address will be used if you forget your password and need to recover your account. If you use a temporary email address, you could lose access to your Civillo account and be unable to recover it; e.g an alliance or project base email address.

Your personal data is used by Civillo in accordance with our privacy policy (opens new window).

  1. After successfully registering, a verification email will be sent to the provided email address. You must click the link provided in the email to activate your account. If you do not click the link, you will not be able to access your account.

TIP

If the verification email does not arrive, make sure to check your spam folder. If it still doesn't arrive, try registering again.

  1. After verifying your email address, you are ready to sign in (opens new window).

To make changes to your account details, head to to your profile (opens new window) page.

# Signing in

To sign in you need the email address and password you registered with.

Go to the Civillo home page (opens new window) to sign in.

After signing in, your session will remain valid for 30 days. If you are using a shared computer remember to sign out when you have finished using Civillo.

# Requesting organization access

If you are a new user to Civillo, when you first sign in you may not have access to any Organizations.

To get access to an organization, you either need to be an organization administrator or be invited by one. If you work as part of a project that uses Civillo you must contact your organization's Civillo coordinator in order to receive an invitation.
