# How to view the permit register
The Permit register is a table containing summarising information for all non-archived permits in the given project.
From the left hand sidebar on the map view, click on the
icon to open the permits panel.
Next, click on the
icon to open the Permit register in a popup above the map.
This will display a table containing the following permit properties:
- Name
- Description
- Status; see Pending category signoff and others for more details
- Start time; the time at which, once Approved, the permit becomes Active (or ready to be held if a holder is specified)
- Time at which the permit will Require renewal, if it exists
- Time at which the permit will Expire, if it exists
- User who requested the permit
- Link to the permit document
Note that you are unable to edit anything related to permits here; project admins and permit controllers can access the permit overview page for this purpose.
TIP
As with the permits panel, you may adjust the filters to display a desired subset of your project's permits as well as adjust the page and page size.
